Year 6 will be holding a Greek day in school on Thursday 19th January. This is for our Spring term topic, The Ancient Greeks. For this we have asked the children to make and wear their own Greek Chiton.

Girls Football Teams - Football Festival at Farnborough Primary School
Last week we took two girls teams to Farnborough Primary School to play in a Christmas Football Festival. For many of the girls it was their first experience of competitive Football. Both teams played four matches. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support the teams.
Poverest Choir Raising Money for Mencap at the Glades
On Thursday 5th December the Poverest Choir helped to raise money for the charity Mencap by singing in the Glades, Bromley. They were commended on their enthusiasm and how they raised spirits with their voices. Well done Poverest Choir!
This week, Birch Class visited the Museum of London. We had a wonderful time walking around the galleries, looking at all the Roman artefacts. In the afternoon, we had an artefact workshop where we were able to touch Roman objects from 2000 years ago. It was so interesting and we learnt so much.
Willow & Walnut Classes Learning about Celebrations
Willow and Walnut have been learning about celebrations and weddings in EYFS this week. They learnt about all of the traditions that surround a wedding. The week ended with a “mock” ceremony, all of the children loved taking part.
Beech and Birch Classes had a special treat this week. They went to the cinema in Sevenoaks to watch 'Horrible Histories - Rotten Romans.' They had a great time watching Atti, Orla, Emperor Nero and Boudicca in action!
