TikTok 'Family Safety Mode' Gives Parents Some App Control
TikTok has always been a web based piece of software we have advised parents not to allow their children on due to the potential danger of strangers easily making contact with children. TikTok is very popular with children, however, and can be a very creative tool, but keeping children safe is our primary duty as parents, guardians and teachers. TikTok has now released a parent control option which involves the parents creating an account and then linking it with their child's account. Various safety features can then be turned on. At the moment we don't know whether this will solve the concerns over children using TikTok, but if your children do use it we recommend you do create an account and link it to your child's.
